It’s bowl season and lots of football games are being played this week.
Coaches have a big job – to train, motivate, and encourage their team to make them the best players and the best people that they can be.
Jim Tressel, the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, encourages his player to be grateful, to be thankful for the people in their lives.
“I think especially in this age of e-mails and text messages and voice mails, a good, old-fashioned, handwritten note speaks volumes to people”
“The neat thing about a letter is that you can hold it in your hand and save it in some special place. It can be stashed in a drawer, ready to be pulled out when the person needs a little boost. For our players, writing those letters of gratitude is a great action step.”
from The Winners Manual: For the Game of Life by Jim Tressel
If you are using the end of the year to reflect on 2009, don’t forget to thank the people that helped you through the year. Be grateful, and write them a thank you note. It will be sure to make their day.
It just so happens that Poly Graphics has a great selection of thank you notes available for you. From formal note cards to fun thank you notes.
Thanks!
